About the Fund

Single allocation exposure to a carefully selected mature and diversified portfolio of private equity opportunities.

The MLC Global Private Equity Fund offers access to a well-diversified portfolio of carefully selected private equity opportunities. The Fund has a mature portfolio from inception and is continually seeking and participating in additional investment opportunities.

The Fund invests in a portfolio of private equity funds and co-investments that we believe have the potential for transformation and growth.

To select and access these opportunities, we use our proven approach and our deep and long-term partnerships with specialist private equity managers globally. These relationships, developed over decades, provide access to businesses with the potential for transformation and the opportunity to unlock value – for the businesses we invest in and for investors like you.

Fees

Management fee: 1.25%

The performance fee is calculated as 15% of the Fund’s annual return (after deducting the management fee and the performance hurdle of 8%).

Liquidity

The Fund offers some limited liquidity. However, the Fund is not appropriate for investors who may require immediate access to capital.

MLC will generally make withdrawal offers monthly. A total of up to 5% of the prior quarter net asset value of the Fund may be available for withdrawal each quarter. The minimum withdrawal request is $5,000.

Our private equity team carefully constructs a portfolio of investments via:

  • Private equity funds: investing in private equity funds which invest in a portfolio of private companies.
  • Private equity co-investments: investing directly into private companies alongside private equity managers.
  • Listed private equity-related ETFs: investing into ETFs that have exposure to private equity to assist in managing liquidity within the fund.
  • Cash and cash equivalents: investing into cash and cash equivalents to assist in managing liquidity within the fund.

Private equity strategies

The Fund is diversified across various types of private equity strategies, which include:

  • Growth: investment in established growing companies to boost growth and achieve their full potential.
  • Buy-out: investment in mature companies which typically involves a change in management, strategic direction or capital structure to drive improved operational performance.
  • Turnaround situations: investment in companies undergoing operational or financial challenges, which typically aim to implement significant changes to help the business become profitable.
